Bravado to DreamHack Winter final over x6tence Galaxy
Bravado are through to the grand final at DreamHack Open Winter after defeating x6tence Galaxy 2-0 in the semis (16-2 on Nuke and 19-17 on Inferno).
The first semi-final at DreamHack Open Winter featured Bravado and x6tence Galaxy. The South Africans opened Nuke on the CT-side and secured the pistol as Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek got a double kill. Bravado kept the Swedes at bay in the first weapon round with Johnny "JT" Theodosiou and Rhys "Fadey" Armstrong's doubles, making it 3-0.
Linus "Bååten" Andersson almost clutched a 1vs3 in the fifth round but Ruan "ELUSIVE" van Wyk managed to kill him to win the round. Even though Bååten was unable to win that round, he clutched a 1vs2 in the ninth round to get his team on the scoreboard (8-1).

Bååten’s one-man crusade continued in the 13th round when he clutched another 1vs2 to secure the round with an ace (11-2). After the first half ended 13-2 in Bravado's favor, ELUSIVE had a crucial 1vs2 victory in the second pistol to make it 14-2. The South African side picked up two more rounds to win the map 16-2.
Bravado's dominance was maintained on Inferno where they started on the T-side to win the pistol round. ELUSIVE and Sonic clutched a 2vs4 to secure the first weapon round and Bravado got three more to lead 6-0.
Tim "nawwk" Jonasson & André "BARBARR" Möller's double AWP setup brought x6tence Galaxy their first round. nawwk stepped up once again, this time in a 3vs5 in the following round as he got a quad kill to make it two in a row (6-2). Bravado hit back by taking four of the last seven rounds in the half, leading 10-5 at halftime.

x6tence Galaxy tied the game at 10-10 after taking the first five rounds in the second half. nawwk clutched a 1vs3 with a Deagle to make it 12-12 and x6tence Galaxy acquired three map points by winning the following three rounds. However, Bravado managed to fight back and took the game to overtime.
Bravado had a perfect CT-side in overtime and secured the one round they needed on the T-side to win the map 19-17. With the 2-0 series victory, the South African side have advanced to the grand final at DreamHack Open Winter 2018.
